Scope of application

This privacy policy gives users information about the nature, scope and purpose of collection and use of personal data by the supplier responsible

on this website (hereinafter “the offer”). The legal guidelines for data protection are to be found in the German Federal Data Protection Act and the German Telecommunication Media Act.

Access data/Server log files

The provider (or its web space provider) collects data about every access to the offer (so-called server log files) for statistical evaluation for the purpose of operation, security and optimisation of the offer. These access data include:

  • Name of the website accessed
  • date and time of server queries
  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • IP address and the requesting provider.
  • Referrer URL (Internet address, previously visited page)
  • Name of the retrieved file and amount of data transferred
  • Message if the retrieval was successful

However, the provider reserves the right to review the log data retrospectively if, on the basis of specific evidence, the legitimate suspicion of unlawful use exists. These data shall not be combined with data from other sources.

The basis for data processing is Article 6 para. 1 lit. b of the GDPR which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or due to pre-contractual measures.

A complete protection of your data from access by third parties can not be guaranteed in the case of data transmission in the Internet (for example, email communication) due to possible security gaps.

Handling personal data

When using the website, confidential personal information is collected that may allow personal identification. This includes, for example, name, telephone number, address, as well as all data that you provide to us during registration, payment processing, execution of a contract and when creating your customer account.

SSL encryption

To protect the security of your personal information during transmission, we use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that allow users to store specific device-related information on their access device. They help make websites more user friendly and benefit the user (e.g. for storing login data). They also help record the statistical data for the website use, and aid analysis to help improve the service. A differentiation is always made between two different types of cookies, so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser and cookies that are stored until deletion by you on your device. The website owner has a legitimate interest in the storing of cookies for the technically correct and optimised delivery of its services.

Hotjar

This website uses Hotjar. The provider is Hotjar Ltd., Level 2, St Julians Business Centre, 3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julians STJ 1000, Malta, Europe (website: https://www.hotjar.com).

Hotjar is a tool for analyzing your user behavior on this website. With Hotjar, we can record, among other things, your mouse and scroll movements and clicks. Hotjar can also determine how long you stayed in one place with your mouse pointer. From this information, Hotjar creates so-called heat maps, which can be used to determine which website areas are preferred by the website visitor.

We can also determine how long you stayed on a page and when you left it. We can also determine at which point you abandoned your entries in a contact form (so-called conversion funnels).

Furthermore, direct feedback can be obtained from website visitors with Hotjar. This function serves to improve the web offers of the website operator.

Hotjar uses technologies that enable the recognition of the user for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g. cookies or the use of device fingerprinting).

If consent has been obtained, the use of the aforementioned service is based exclusively on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO and § 25 TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. If consent has not been obtained, the use of this service is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO; the website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its web offer and its advertising.

Matomo 

We use Matomo (formerly Piwik) for web analytics, a service provided by InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, NZBN 6106769, ("Matomo") using cookie technology. The protection of your data is important to us, which is why we have additionally configured Matomo in such a way that your IP address is only recorded in shortened form. We therefore process your personal usage data anonymously. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about your person. Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps by Google Inc. By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of automated data collected by Google Inc, its agents and third parties. You can view the terms of use of Google Maps under "Google Maps Terms of Service" .

Use of Vimeo

This offer uses Vimeo, a Vimeo, LLC software company, with headquarters at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, United States, for video inclusion. The Vimeo player allows the integration and playback of videos on the website. If a Vimeo player is included in the page content, a connection to Vimeo servers outside of Europe is automatically established. Vimeo stores here the information on which page you are and can assign your navigation behaviour directly to your personal profile, if you are additionally logged into your Vimeo account. Use of Java Script

Inclusion of services and content from third parties

It may happen that content from third parties, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are included in this offer. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third party provider”) perceive the IP address of the users. This is because the content cannot be sent to the individual user's browser without the IP address. Your IP address is therefore necessary to display this content. We strive only to use content from providers who use the IP address to deliver content, and for nothing else. However, we have no influence over the third party provider if they store the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. If we become aware of this, we shall notify the user.

Contact

When contact is made with the supplier (such as by means of the contact form or by email), the information the user provides is saved for purposes of processing the enquiry and also in case there are follow up questions. These data will not be passed on without your consent.

The processing of your data, which you submit when you contact us, is based on your consent (Article 6 para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR). Your consent can be revoked at any time. This does not affect the legality of any data processing done before we receive your request.

As long as no request for deletion of data is made, the consent for the storage is revoked or the purpose for the data storage is no longer valid, the data communicated when making contact remain with us. Statutory retention periods shall remain unaffected.

Newsletter

We inform you about us and our offers with the newsletter. If you wish to receive the newsletter, we require a valid email address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the provided email address and that the owner of the email address agrees to receive the newsletter. Further data are not collected. This data are used only for sending your our newsletter and are not passed on to third parties. By registering for the newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of the registration. This saving of data is used as evidence in the case that a third party should abuse an email address and registers it without the knowledge or concent of the person entitled to receive newsletter. You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data and email address, as well as their use for the delivery of the newsletter, at any time. Revocation can be made via a link within the newsletter itself, in your profile area or by notifying us via the above contact information.

Revocation, changes, deletion and right to information

The user has the right within the context of the applicable legal provisions to obtain information free of charge on request about the personal data, their origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing. Users also have the right to correct inaccurate information, or have their personal data blocked or deleted where there is no legal obligation to keep them.
